Who am I?

I grew up in Quito, Ecuador, a city surrounded by majestic mountains that have been a constant source of inspiration from my childhood to this day. My first mountain experiences were with my family, climbing several peaks before I discovered that mountaineering was not just a passion, but a lifestyle I wanted to fully embrace.

Seeking to gain more experience, connect with other adventurers, and explore the world's most challenging mountains, I joined a mountaineering club. In 2006, I turned my passion into my profession by training as a mountain guide. I am currently certified by the IU-AGM (International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations) and WFR (Wilderness First Responder).

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of leading expeditions on some of the world's most iconic mountains. One of the highlights has been guiding on Mount Everest, the highest peak on the planet, where preparation, resilience, and teamwork are key to success. In addition to Everest, I've guided in Asia on the extraordinary Ama Dablam, a technical and challenging summit that embodies the majesty and difficulty of the Himalayas.

My experience also encompasses the Andes, where I have guided on Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas; in Peru's Cordillera Blanca; the Cordillera Real in Bolivia; and the majestic volcanoes of the Ecuadorian Andes, my homeland. In North America, I have led expeditions to Denali in Alaska, and in Europe, I have guided in the Alps of Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany, exploring and sharing the beauty and challenges of each of these regions.

I'm passionate about mountain climbing and being part of my clients' journeys, helping them achieve their dreams. For me, there's nothing more rewarding than being the bridge that makes their achievements possible. That connection and teamwork are what make my profession as a mountain guide so special.
